Matt will run 1050 km of ultra marathons (each one further than 26.2miles).
The Adventure starts on September 5th, 2021 and finishes on October 1st, 2021 by The Thames.
The route will see Matt - and fellow support runners who join along the way - cross every county in England, UK. Matt will run trails and roads, spending the majority of the time on bridle and public footpaths, over dales and across mountain ranges. Each day will start or finish in a big town or city, where Matt will host discussions with local charities involved in mental health and suicide prevention or people who have been touched by depression or the loss of a loved one.
Oh, and host a 7.30am breathwork class.
Each morning, we will run a one mile group loop as Matt sets off on his way - come and join him!

Suicide is a big issue in the UK, especially amongst men. Similarly anxiety and depression. Matt has been there, stepping onto the edge of self destruction more than once. Having now found the tools to live a happier and fulfilling life in the service of others through breathwork, Matt wants to use this run to raise both awareness and much-needed funding for CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Achieving a run of this distance - and with all the complexity involved - doesn't happen by one person putting one foot in front of the other for 26 days. It happens when a team come together - to plan, to manage logistics, to drive the vans, to arrange podcasts and interviews, making food and yes, running a few minutes, hours or miles along the way.
Every person who helps will know that Matt will run for them. Your name will be carried on the sides of the van, in the book that will capture this adventure, in the film and in Matt's head as he faces his greatest challenge, the darkest moments and in the exhilaration of crossing the finishing line.
